Sketches for a revamp of an unloved corner outside the oppopp HQ. As a part of the new government headquarter development nearby, car traffic has been diverted from Fredensborgveien, opening a new potential for the streetscape as an urban living room. The concepts look at different strategies of providing a small pocket for lounging in a much-used street for pedestrians, with temporality and reuse as key design principles.
Concept with reused oil-barrels as seating, planters and integrated garbagecan
Concept with in-situ built wooden bench and deck
Concept with wooden structures based on materials off the shelf with minimal treatment
